Welcome to our monthly enewsletter, providing you with all the latest information, offers and events:

Support the expanding talent pipeline in the North West with the NHS Graduate Management Training Scheme (GMTS)
Deadline to submit a statement of intent to host in 2019: 15th March

This year GMTS has expanded its annual intake from 200 to 500 trainees - the biggest expansion undertaken in the history of the Scheme. For the North West this equates to 75 trainees within the 2019 intake, which creates increased opportunities for organisations in the North West to benefit from hosting a trainee. The scheme offers trainees the opportunity to become successful leaders in the NHS and is crucial in sustaining our talent pipeline, as outlined in the NHS Long Term Plan.
As part of the expansion GMTS will migrate to a co-funding model, where costs are shared between the NHS Leadership Academy and host organisations. The new ‘commitment to pay and assurance process’ encourages organisations to take a collaborative and system-focused approach, with a lead host organisation leading on the submission of information at each stage of the assurance process, on behalf of a partnership or collaborative.

For more information about the expansion, the new co-funding model and how to host a graduate in your organisation or system please see our website.
