Having graduated from university with a degree in Media, Screen and Cultural Studies, I had every intention of continuing to make documentary programmes and factual pieces for news broadcasts that I'd enjoyed success with during my final year.
However, life has a funny way of twisting your fate for you and as I’d already begun to spend more of my time mentoring and coaching those around me throughout my time at university, I found myself drawn to complete a postgrad qualification in teaching and training.
This led to several years in local further education establishments, Skills for Health and also Sefton PCT in various capacities – from teacher to training coordinator and project manager.
I am now enjoying the opportunities and challenges of medical education in my capacity as Medical Education Manager at Southport & Ormskirk NHS Trust.
