Health & social care level 3 extended diploma - acorn programme
Southport & Ormskirk NHS Trust and Southport College and are proud to announce the launch of the new Acorn programme in September 2016.
The new programme offers students the chance who are interested in a career as a nurse, paramedic or midwife to have a work placement in a hospital! This course has been specifically designed for Southport College students by staff at Southport and Ormskirk Hospital NHS Trust and curriculum staff at Southport College.
The programme consists of an Extended Diploma in Health & Social Care and hospital workplacements in 12 areas across Southport and Ormskirk hospital including the maternity ward, the X ray department and the occupational therapy ward. The care certificate and core skills will also form part of the programme.
