Dr Krishnan Gokul has accepted the position of Associate Director of Medical Education. His remit within this role will include supporting the on-going development of our postgraduate medical education programmes and strengthening our team of education providers across the Trust. Dr Gokul has been a real asset to the education team for several years in the capacity of SAS Lead and is looking forward to the challenges and opportunities that this role presents.
Our second appointment is Dr Rashmi Gupta who has accepted the role of Clinical Sub-Dean (CSD) for Undergraduate Medical Education. Dr Gupta is a Consultant Microbiologist with the Trust and has a long-standing commitment to medical education. She is a very welcome addition to our team in the capacity of CSD and the team are looking forward to working with her in continuing to develop our undergraduate provision over the next few years.
We are, of course, sad to say goodbye to our outgoing CSD, Clare O’Leary, who has supported undergraduate medical education here for several years. Clare will be leaving the Trust in the very near future and the Medical Education Team would like to join all her clinical colleagues in wishing her the very best in her new role.
