Setting out the common core skills and knowledge required for all nursing students, the nurse apprenticeship standard incorporates the options to study specialisms in adult nursing, children’s nursing, mental health and learning disabilities.
Approved by the Institute for Apprenticeships, the degree apprenticeship will allow people wishing to pursue a career in nursing to train to become a graduate registered nurse through the apprenticeship route. The apprentices will achieve the same standards as other student nurses and on completion will meet the qualification requirements to apply for registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council.
